Cricket fans were still in the mood of the T20 World Cup 2024 final when they got to see a sensational match in county cricket as well. The match played between Glamorgan and Gloucestershire in the 34th match of the County Championship Division Two ended in a dramatic tie.

On Wednesday (July 3), Glamorgan had to chase a world record target of 593 runs to win but in the match against Gloucestershire, they were all out for 592 runs and the match ended in a tie.

Glamorgan needed just 2 runs in the last over to win and they had just 1 wicket left. Mason Crane could not score a single run in the first four balls due to which the equation reached 2 runs in 2 balls. After this, Crane took a run on the fifth ball and gave the strike to Jamie McIlroy.

Now Glamorgan's team was just one run away from creating history but McIlroy's bat edged Ajit Singh Dale's ball and wicketkeeper James Bracey took a miraculous catch to tie the match.

Bracey had also taken off his right hand glove before this last ball but despite this he saved his team from defeat by taking an amazing catch. After taking this catch, he ran long on the field like Imran Tahir. The video of his celebration is going viral at this time, which you can see below.

As soon as this match was tied, a new world record was also made. Glamorgan's 592 runs in the second innings while chasing 593 runs is the best score in the fourth innings till date. This record was made by West Zone in February 2010 in a Duleep Trophy match against South Zone in India. Chasing a target of 536 runs, West Zone scored 541-7 runs.
