In the 2007 T20 World Cup final, he scored 75 runs in 54 balls to take the team to a good score, with the help of which Team India managed to win the trophy. In the 2011 ODI World Cup final, when Sachin and Sehwag were out, he first partnered with Virat Kohli, then with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and played an important role in India's victory by scoring 97 runs in 122 balls. He has captained Team India in 6 matches and has won all of them. Under his captaincy, India defeated New Zealand 5-0 in the ODI series. He has won 2 trophies as captain in IPL and 1 trophy as mentor.
