KL Rahul: The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of Zimbabwe, where a 5-match T20 series is being played between the two teams. Three matches of this series have been played and currently Team India is leading the series 2-1.

The fourth match of the series will be played in Harare on Saturday. However, before this match a big news is coming out and wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul can be sent on this tour.

India took a 2-1 lead in the series

Everyone was surprised by the result of the first match of this series against Zimbabwe as Team India could not achieve the target of 116 runs and had to face defeat by 13 runs. However, after this India made a tremendous comeback and won the second match by a huge margin of 100 runs.

After this, Team India performed brilliantly in the third match and won by 23 runs to take the lead in the series. Now the Men in Blue would like to win the series by registering a win in the fourth match.

KL Rahul leaves for Zimbabwe

There may be a big change in the team before the fourth match for Team India and KL Rahul may leave for Zimbabwe. Actually, chief selector Ajit Agarkar may send Rahul to Zimbabwe as a backup player. Rahul may get a chance in the playing eleven in place of Sanju Samson.

Currently, Rahul is in India and he did not get a place in Team India for the Zimbabwe tour, while a young team was sent under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. This was the first time when Gill was given the captaincy of India. Before this, he had captained Gujarat in the IPL but his team could not perform well.

Rahul will be the captain on Sri Lanka tour

Let us tell you that at present there is no official confirmation whether Rahul will go on the Zimbabwe tour or not, but Rahul can be seen captaining Team India on the Sri Lanka tour starting from July 27.

If all the media reports are to be believed, KL Rahul can be made the captain for the ODI series. However, in the T20 series, Hardik Pandya or Suryakumar Yadav can lead the team.
