These are the players whose names are recorded in the list of batsmen who hit the most sixes in international cricket. India Champions captain Yuvraj Singh himself is also called the Sixer King. But, in WCL, the attitude of the Pathan brothers faded in front of their colour and mood. Whether it was Yusuf Pathan or Irfan Pathan, both created a stir by hitting sixes. After winning the WCL final, when the Pathan brothers were asked about their aggressive attitude, they told their captain Yuvraj Singh the reason behind it.

Yuvraj had given the license to kill

Irfan Pathan said that we had a free hand. Both of us brothers were given the license to go to the ground and hit. And, that is what we did. We obeyed our captain and continued swinging the bat. Irfan Pathan further said that Yuvraj Singh had clearly told both of us brothers that he is not concerned with our bowling. He is concerned with the sixes coming from our bat. He wants sixes after sixes from us.

Irfan is no less than Yusuf, both the brothers created the same havoc

The Pathan brothers followed the words of captain Yuvraj Singh and hit a total of 20 sixes in the World Championship of Legends. There was a fierce competition between the two brothers to hit sixes, in which no one was less than the other. The number of sixes that Yusuf Pathan hit in WCL 2024 was the same as the number of sixes that Irfan Pathan hit. Meaning, both the brothers hit 10-10 sixes in the tournament.

However, before the WCL final, Irfan Pathan was ahead of his elder brother Yusuf in the race of hitting sixes. But, Yusuf equaled Irfan by hitting 3 sixes during his fiery innings in the final against Pakistan.

The Pathan brothers are among the batsmen who hit the most sixes in WCL 2024 for India Champions. On the basis of 10 sixes each, both the brothers have also written their names in the list of highest run-scorers for India Champions. Yusuf Pathan has scored 221 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 157.85. On the other hand, Irfan Pathan has scored 154 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 167.39.
