'Fame-power changed him'… Explosive statement by an old teammate on Virat Kohli

Former Team India captain Virat Kohli has made many big records with his bat. He has taken Team India to great heights with his captaincy. He brought a fitness revolution in Team India. While Kohli has always been praised for all this, his critics have often raised questions about his behavior. From the field to inside the dressing room, people have been questioning Kohli's methods. There have often been many reports in the media that during his captaincy days, he was not easily available to the young players because his behavior had changed a lot from the early days. Now a former cricketer of Team India, who played cricket with him for a long time, has also said these things openly.

Virat Kohli and experienced leg-spinner Amit Mishra have played many matches together in the Indian team and in the domestic cricket team of Delhi. Being much senior to Kohli, Mishra knows him since his early days. In such a situation, he has closely observed the difference between the younger Virat and the superstar batsman-captain 'King Kohli'. He spoke openly about this difference in a recent interview.

Rohit is the same from the beginning till today

In an interview given on a YouTube channel, Amit Mishra talked about the difference in the captaincy and behaviour of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He described T20 World Cup winning Indian captain Rohit Sharma as closer to him and said that his best quality is that he is the same as he was at the beginning of his career even after becoming such a great batsman and successful captain. Mishra said that this is the reason why junior players or former players are so close to Rohit because he treats everyone the same.

'Kohli has changed a lot'

When it came to Virat Kohli, Mishra said without any hesitation that this cannot be said about the former captain of Team India because he has changed a lot. Mishra said that he knows Kohli since the time he was 12-13 years old and liked to eat samosa-pizza. Mishra said that there is a big difference between the 'Chiku' of that time and Kohli of today and he hardly talks to Kohli now. The 41-year-old leg spinner said that 'fame' and 'power' are the big reasons behind this because at that time he had become the captain and when power comes, it seems that someone is coming to him only for selfish reasons.

Did not answer on return to Team India

Mishra also blamed Virat for his ouster from Team India and said that he never got a clear message from the captain. He mentioned 2017 and said that he got injured just before a series and was out of the team, after which he was asked to play domestic cricket. The veteran leg-spinner, who has played for Delhi and Haryana, said that later when he spoke to a selector, no clear message was given about his return, after which when he asked Kohli about his future, the captain said that he would tell soon but then he never answered.
