Team India: Team India has won the 5 match T20 series against Zimbabwe by 4 – 1. Now the next assignment of the Indian team is the Sri Lanka tour, where they have to play a 3 match T20 and an equal number of ODI series. With this tour, Team India's new head coach Gautam Gambhir will also take over his tenure.

Gautam Gambhir is considered to be a player with a new thinking and different mindset. In such a situation, all these things can be seen in his coaching as well. It is believed that some young players who showed poor performance against Zimbabwe may be dropped.

1. Riyan Parag :

The Zimbabwe tour did not go well for 22-year-old Riyan Parag. He was given entry in Team India after showing good performance in IPL 2024. But he has proved to be a flop in his debut series. He scored just 2 (3) runs in the first T20 against Zimbabwe. After this he did not get a chance to bat in the second match. He was dropped from the third and fourth T20s, while in the last T20 he was dismissed after scoring 22 runs off 24 balls. In such a situation, it seems difficult for him to get a chance against Sri Lanka.

2. Tushar Deshpande :

The Zimbabwe tour did not go well for Tushar Deshpande, who played for Chennai Super Kings with Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the IPL. He got a chance to debut in the fourth match of the series, but could not prove himself in this match. He took only 2 wickets in 2 matches and there was no edge in his bowling. Zimbabwe batsmen were playing shots easily against him. In such a situation, Gautam Gambhir can also drop him from Team India.

The Zimbabwe tour was very good for young batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad. In the second match of the series, he scored 77* runs in 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and 1 six, while in the third match he played a stormy innings of 49 runs in 28 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes.

But looking at the playing combination, there doesn't seem to be a place for him in the team. In such a situation, he may be forced to drop out of the team.
