We have seen many Indian young cricketers make their debut against Zimbabwe and never play for India again. This is bound to happen in India, where the depth of talent is so high. So keeping this in mind, we will tell you about three Indian players who played in the recent T20 International series against Zimbabwe but they may be dropped from the team for the next series.
1. Dhruv Jurel
Sanju looked more mature in the recent T20I series against Zimbabwe. He played a key role in the middle order. India can move forward with Sanju and Pant in the T20I setup. Dhruv Jurel did not perform well in the IPL before getting a place in the Indian T20 team. So, at least for now, he may struggle to justify his case. Apart from this, he played 2 matches against Zimbabwe and could score only 6 runs.
2. Tushar Deshpande
Tushar Deshpande did not get many chances but he was not very impressive in the games he got. On the other hand, the likes of Mukesh Kumar performed well in the opportunities they got. Right-arm fast bowler Deshpande can leak runs at times. He will not be able to trouble the batsmen much with his speed. With players like Harshit Rana waiting in the wings, India may not be able to give another chance to Tushar. Tushar played 2 matches against Zimbabwe and took only 2 wickets while conceding runs at an economy rate of 9.16.
3. Riyan Parag
Young batsman Riyan Parag has managed to make his place at the third position in this list. Parag is one of those Indians who made his debut in the T20 International series against Zimbabwe and he may be dropped for the next series. Given his performance in IPL 2024, there were high expectations from Parag against Zimbabwe. However, he failed to live up to expectations. Parag played 3 matches against Zimbabwe but was able to score only 24 runs.
