West Indies captain Craig Brathwaite won the toss and decided to bowl first in the second Test match being played against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Fast bowler Alzari Joseph proved his captain's decision right by dismissing English opener Jack Crowley on the third ball of the match.
The Trent Bridge pitch was helping the bowlers early on and Joseph took full advantage of this in the very first over. He bowled a length delivery in the third ball of the first over and the ball took the outside edge of Jack Crowley's bat and went into the hands of Alick Athanas standing at third slip. Although the catch was not easy, Athanas dived to his right and took a brilliant low catch a few inches above the ground.
However, after this wicket, West Indies had to wait a long time for their second wicket and Ollie Pope along with Ben Duckett gave England a strong start by making a century partnership. If we talk about the playing eleven of both the teams for this match, then there has been a change in the playing eleven of West Indies, Kevin Sinclair has come in the team in place of Gudakesh Moti. Let us tell you that West Indies had already announced the team but Moti was out of the match due to ill health before the match started. Mark Wood has replaced retired James Anderson in England's playing eleven.
