The spectators who come to the stadium to watch cricket matches always have one wish - the batsman should hit a lot of sixes and the ball should come towards them at least once so that they can catch it and their picture should be shown on TV. This wish of some spectators is fulfilled, while most just keep waiting. In the test match being played between England and West Indies in Nottingham, some fans must have had a similar wish, but instead of the ball, they got pieces of the roof, in which these spectators narrowly escaped getting injured.
On the third day of the Nottingham Test match, West Indies batsmen came to continue their first innings. In the first session itself, the team lost 4 wickets in quick succession. Now the last pair in the form of Joshua Da Silva and Shamar Joseph was present at the crease and together they made England yearn for this last wicket. During this, both the batsmen also hit some explosive shots and one such shot came from the bat of left-handed batsman Shamar Joseph, who came to bat at number 11.
Shamar had already equalled England's score by hitting 2-3 good shots. Now it was time to move ahead. Fast bowler Gus Atkinson bowled a short pitch ball and Shamar hit a powerful pull shot on it. The ball not only crossed the deep midwicket boundary but also fell on the roof of the stadium. The ball came back after falling here but it also damaged some tiles of the roof and immediately the broken tiles fell near the spectators sitting below.
Omg that six by Shamar Joseph broke the roof and part of that roof fell on the spectators unbelievable#WTC25 ,

However, it was a matter of luck that the piece of tiles did not fall on the head of any spectator, otherwise a terrible accident could have happened. Talking about the match, Shamar and Da Silva put England in trouble by making a great partnership of 71 runs for the last wicket. On the basis of this partnership of both, West Indies scored 457 runs in the first innings and surprised everyone by gaining a lead of 41 runs over England. Shamar scored a quick 33 runs in just 27 balls, while Da Silva could not complete the century and returned unbeaten after scoring 82 runs.
