Team India: The BCCI management has announced a 15-member team keeping in mind the ODI and T20 series to be played against Sri Lanka. The management has chosen Rohit Sharma as the captain for the ODI series, while the responsibility of T20 has been given to Suryakumar Yadav.

Gautam Gambhir will now be seen joining Team India as a head coach, while other veterans along with him have also been included in the category of support staff by the management. But the management had not yet mentioned anything about the batting coach, but now it can be understood through a hint that who is going to get this responsibility.

This veteran will become the batting coach of Team India

BCCI management had appointed Gautam Gambhir as the coach of the Indian team a long time ago. Since then, it was being said that now the management will give charge to other people only on the recommendation of Gautam Gambhir. In the recent announcement made by the management regarding the appointment of the support staff, Abhishek Nair was given the responsibility of assistant coach. But now it is being said that he will also play the role of batting coach.

Abhishek Nair may be seen in two roles

The BCCI management has appointed Abhishek Nair as the assistant coach of Team India and he is considered to be one of Gautam Gambhir's close friends. It is being said that, along with assisting Gautam Gambhir, he will also be seen grooming the batsmen. After this news, all the supporters have become confident that their team is in safe hands. Abhishek Nair has worked with many teams during the IPL.

Other assistant coaches were also appointed

The BCCI management has already appointed the support staff before the Sri Lanka tour and many people will travel with the Indian team, while a coach will be seen directly joining Team India on the Sri Lanka tour. The management has included former Dutch player Ryan Ten Doeschate and Abhishek Nair in the role of assistant coach. While T. Dilip can be seen in the role of fielding coach, Sairaj Bahutule has been included by the management as bowling coach with Team India.
