There is a struggle behind every player. Apart from him, the role of his family and especially his parents is important in that struggle. Babar Azam has made a big prediction about one such cricketer who moved forward by struggling and rebelling. The Pakistan captain has called him the next superstar of world cricket. We are talking about 21-year-old Pakistani cricketer Saim Ayub.
Left-handed opener Saim Ayub has so far played two formats of cricket for Pakistan - Test and T20. After starting playing cricket, the first thing Saim Ayub did was to repay his mother's debt. In fact, during his struggling days, he would often ask his mother to buy him a cricket kit. He would ask her to spend money on himself. While saying this, Ayub would also say that he would repay all her debt and this is what happened.
His mother arranged money from somewhere and bought him a new kit. And, once he started playing cricket at a competitive level, he paid off his mother's debt with the first prize he won. Saim Ayub played in the National Under-16 tournament in Pakistan, where he won the Best Batsman award. Saim Ayub gave the prize money of Rs 50,000 he received there to his mother.
Saim Ayub had to rebel against his father to become a cricketer. Actually, his father had admitted him to a cricket academy as a hobby. But soon this hobby took over him and he started playing cricket all day long. Seeing this, his father got worried about his studies. He would say that he has played enough cricket, now he should study a little. But Saim was not going to listen. He was now determined to play cricket.
Now let's come to the statement of Babar Azam, who has called Saim Ayub the next superstar of world cricket. Babar has given this statement on AB de Villiers' YouTube channel. However, the reason behind Babar saying this is not known. Because, if we look at Saim Ayub's performance in international cricket, it has not been anything special. Ayub has played 1 Test and 23 T20Is for Pakistan so far. His overall strike rate in T20 International is even lower than Babar Azam. Saim Ayub has scored only 309 runs in 21 innings of T20 International at a strike rate of 122.13.
