AFG vs NZ Test Match: A great news has come for cricket fans. Actually, an international match is going to be held at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida which will be played between Afghanistan and New Zealand (AFG vs NZ).

According to media reports, this will be the only Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand which fans can watch in the month of September. Let us tell you that this Test match will also be the first Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand. Till now these two teams have not faced each other in the Test format.

Also know that Afghanistan is currently ruled by the Taliban, due to which women there are banned from participating in sports. Due to this, in the past, the Australian team has often refused to play any series with Afghanistan other than ICC events.

On the other hand, despite this, India has extended its support to the Afghanistan team and has also helped them organize their bilateral series in India. Recently, a series of three ODIs, three T20s and two Test matches was to be held between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the month of July in Greater Noida, but due to extreme heat, this series could not be held.

Also know that the Afghanistan team has played its home series in Greater Noida before, but this will be the first time the team will play here after the Taliban rule came. The team last played a match in Greater Noida four years ago in 2020.
