No one can say what will happen in Pakistan cricket. Cricket is a game of uncertainties but Pakistan is also a great example of it. Well, the player we are going to talk about has faced good and bad things. After her marriage, her central contract was terminated by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Meaning, she was not given a place in the new contract. We are talking about Pakistan's female cricketer Kainat Imtiaz, who is known for her bowling.

At the time of marriage, there was a C grade category contract

Kainat Imtiaz got married in March 2022. At the time of her marriage, she had a central contract of PCB in her hand. PCB had given her a place in the C grade category. But, in the very next year i.e. in 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board made a new contract for women players, in which Kainat Imtiaz was not included. The new contract is for 2023 to 2025.

Out of the new contract, place in this list of 74 players

The Pakistan Cricket Board demoted Kainat Imtiaz and removed her from the contract list. However, after this the PCB took another decision. It included Kainat Imtiaz in the list of 74 players who were given women's domestic contract. This was a new initiative started by PCB in the year 2023, in which apart from Kainat, there were names of players who have played international cricket like Javeria Khan, Anam Amin and Gul Feroza.

Kainat's performance for Pakistan

Kainat Imtiaz played her last match for Pakistan in January 2023. This means that as soon as she was out of the central contract, she stopped playing for Pakistan. Kainat, who is 32 years old, has represented Pakistan in 19 ODIs and 21 T20 Internationals. Apart from taking 10 wickets in ODIs, she has scored 134 runs. Apart from taking 8 wickets in T20Is, 137 runs have come from her bat. Kainat's mother Salima Imtiaz has been an umpire. She has umpired in 20 matches, in which she has been a field umpire in 15 while she has played the role of TV umpire in the remaining 5 matches.
