The last match of the group stage in the Women's Asia Cup 2024 was played between Sri Lanka and Thailand. Both the semi-final matches of Women's Asia Cup 2024 are to be held on Friday 26 July. The first match will be played between India and Bangladesh in Dambulla from 1 pm. The second match will be played between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on the same ground from 7 pm. The teams winning both these matches will clash in the final on Sunday 28 July.
The Women's Asia Cup started in 2004. This year the 9th edition of the tournament is being played. In the 8 editions held before this, Team India has won this title 7 times. From 2004 to 2016, India won this trophy 6 times in a row. In 2018, Bangladesh defeated the Indian team in the final. In 2022, the team captured this trophy for the seventh time. Now the Indian team has come with the intention of winning it for the 8th time.
