Age 18 years and such work that a 62-year-old record was narrowly saved from being broken. Such fierce bowling was seen for the first time after 1962. We are talking about England cricketer Ava Lee, who has written a different story with her off-spin in senior women's cricket. Playing for Southern Vipers Academy in a white ball cricket match, Ava Lee took 9 wickets against Thunder Academy, that too by giving only 2 runs.
This match between the two teams was played at Bamford Fieldhouse Cricket Club, where apart from taking 9 wickets for 2 runs in 7.3 overs, Ava Lee also bowled 5 maidens. This is a new record of bowling in senior women's cricket after the year 1962.

In 1962, Rosemary White took 10 wickets without conceding any runs. Ava Lee is the second bowler to take 9 wickets for 2 runs in senior women's cricket. Before her, Violet Straker had also achieved the same feat in 1930.
In the match, Thunder Academy batted first. For the first wicket, Kesteven and Hemstead together added 64 runs on the scoreboard. But, as soon as this pair broke, Southern Vipers bowler Ava Lee wreaked havoc alone. The result was that the entire team was all out within the next 16 runs. Apart from the openers, only two more Thunder batsmen managed to score. However, 14 extra runs were also included in the score of the Thunder team, in which 5 runs were also penalty runs.
Ava Lee has also played 1 ODI and 3 T20 matches for England Under 19 team against Sri Lanka and Australia. She has taken 9 wickets in these 4 matches. Out of 9 wickets, she has taken one in ODI and the remaining 8 in T20.
