While now the team has reached Sri Lanka. Where a series of 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches will be played between India and Sri Lanka.

The T20 series with Sri Lanka is scheduled to start from July 27 and the first match is to be played at the Pallekele ground. Suryakumar Yadav will captain Team India in the T20 series against Sri Lanka. At the same time, before the start of the T20 series, a big news has come out and 10 players have been caught in fixing. Due to which they have now been banned.

Just before the T20 series between Sri Lanka and India, a big news has come out and the Delhi Soccer Association has taken a big decision. Because, 10 Indian football players have been caught in match fixing. After which DSA has banned all these 10 players.

DSA President Anuj Gupta said, “We are very clear in terms of our intolerance policy against racial discrimination and any kind of fixing. So, we said it would be better if we take this as an example so that in future such cases can happen and it will make anyone think twice before getting involved in it.”

These 10 players were banned

Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) has found a total of 10 players guilty of fixing in football. Due to which DSA took a big decision and banned the players Tamal Naskar, Satish Singh, Abhijeet Das, Muslim Mollah, Saddam Hussain, Mustafa Shaikh Ali, Mohammad Shamim, Avik Gupta, Sannik Murmu and Suvankar Chatterjee.

This is Gambhir's first series

After the T20 World Cup 2024, the tenure of head coach Rahul Dravid ended. After which Gautam Gambhir has now become the head coach of Team India. Gambhir will now be seen as a head coach for the first time in the Sri Lanka series and this will be his first series. Gambhir has previously been the mentor of Lucknow, Delhi and Kolkata teams in the IPL.
