Australian players will get a special opportunity to prepare for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Let us tell you that Cricket Australia announced the schedule of its domestic matches on Thursday. Australia also has to tour England and Scotland. The Kangaroo team will play a 3-match T20 series against Scotland. Whereas, it has to play 3 T20 and 5-match ODI series against England. Australia's England tour will end on 29 September.

The players will then get a week's rest before being available for the Sheffield Shield season starting October 8. As per the schedule, there will be six Sheffield Shield rounds before the men's Big Bash League. If the fast bowlers are rested from the first round, they will have three matches before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22.

Fast bowler Pat Cummins will not be a part of the team in the tour against England. His teammate Mitchell Starc will play only in the ODI series against the English team. However, Josh Hazlewood will be seen playing in both the series.

This whole year will be very important for the Australian players and their schedule will also be tiring. Due to the Sheffield Shield matches, key players like Cameron Bancroft and Marcus Harris will get a great opportunity to show their excellent performance and they can also be seen shining in the Test series against India. After David Warner's retirement from international cricket, now the biggest challenge for the Australian selectors will be to decide which player will replace Warner as an opener in Tests.

Australia team has not won a Test series against Team India after 2014-15

It is worth noting that Australia last won a Test series against India in 2014-15. Since then, the Men in Blue have dominated the Kangaroos. The Indian team has won 4 consecutive series against Australia. The Kangaroo team would like to change this shameful record against India.
