Hardik Pandya had withdrawn his name from the ODI series

India's veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya is playing in the T20 series against Sri Lanka but he is not a part of the ODI series and for this he had sought rest from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) citing personal reasons even before the announcement of the squad.

In such a situation, the board decided to give Hardik a rest and he has not been made a part of the ODI team. Hardik played his last ODI match against Bangladesh in the World Cup 2023 and since then he has not played any match in this format.
