He started his cycling journey from Calicut in Kerala to Paris on 15 August 2022 and during this time he traveled about 22 thousand kilometers and reached Paris after traveling 30 countries.

The name of this fan of Neeraj is Fayis Asraf Ali. According to a PTI report, Ali set out on his cycle mission from India to London with the message of 'peace and unity'. During this, he traveled to a total of 17 countries, after which he stopped in Budapest in 2023 and in the meantime he came to know that his star player and Tokyo Olympics gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra was staying in Budapest, then he aroused the desire to meet him.

Chance to meet Neeraj for the first time

Ali immediately called one of his acquaintances and a well-known coach of Kerala and expressed his desire to meet Neeraj Chopra who had gone for the World Championship. This was the first time he met his favorite player. During this, Neeraj told him that when you are going to London, why are you not coming to Paris for the Olympics? Ali, an engineer by profession, told PTI that he always carries 50 kg of luggage with him, which includes his bicycle, four pairs of clothes, a tent and sleeping bag etc. He also said that he never stays in a hotel. According to Ali, a cyclist only needs a visa to cross the border, apart from this he does not need any other document.
