The last match of the three-match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka is to be played today i.e. on 30th July. After this the ODI series will start. There will be 3 ODI matches between the two teams. For this, the players of the ODI series have also reached Sri Lanka. Which also includes KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. But both these players have looked troubled in Colombo. Let us tell you, Rahul and Iyer are going to be seen playing for the Indian team after a long time.
Apart from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana and KL Rahul are in Colombo for the ODI series. The rest of the members of the ODI series will join Rohit and company after the third and final T20 match to be played in Pallekele on July 30. These players of the ODI team were to start practice in Colombo from July 29. But the first day's practice was canceled due to rain.
Rain disrupted the second day of the Indian team's practice session. Due to which KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who returned to the Indian team after a long time, looked upset due to not getting a chance to practice. According to reports, Team India captain Rohit Sharma was also seen explaining to them during this time. Seeing both the players upset, Rohit said that it will not rain here every day. The Indian team management has appointed Abhishek Nair, one of the assistant coaches of head coach Gautam Gambhir, to oversee the session in Colombo. He is currently in Colombo with the ODI team. A video of Virat Kohli has also surfaced on social media. In which he is seen batting in the nets. He has been seen in action for the first time after the T20 World Cup 2024 victory.
