A shocking news has come out in the midst of Paris Olympics 2024. An accident has happened with an Indian player participating in the Olympics. According to the information, Indian golfer Diksha Dagar became a victim of a road accident. This accident happened with Diksha at night in Paris itself, when she was in a car with her family. This accident happened with Diksha before her event started in the Olympics, due to which concerns were raised about her participation in the match. However, it is a matter of relief that Diksha is completely safe in this accident and will participate in the women's golf match starting on 7 August.
According to a PTI report, Diksha, who is participating in the Olympics for the second time, was returning with her father, mother and brother after attending an event at the India House built for the Olympics in Paris. On Tuesday night, when she was returning from here, a vehicle hit her car. Everyone was immediately taken to the hospital, where the relief news came that Diksha did not suffer any kind of injury. However, her mother has suffered minor injuries and she is in the hospital.
Diksha's father Colonel Naren Dagar, who accompanied her to the Olympics as a caddy, said that the Indian golfer has not suffered any injury and she will participate in the competition starting on August 7 as per the schedule. He also said that Diksha is also going for practice for her preparation. He said that Diksha's mother has definitely suffered a spinal injury and due to this she will remain in the hospital for some time. However, it is not clear yet how serious the mother's injury is.
The women's golf event will be held from 7 August to 10 August in the Paris Olympics. Diksha Dagar will challenge from India in this. Apart from her, experienced golfer Aditi Ashok will also compete in this competition and most eyes will be on her. Aditi surprised everyone with her performance in the last Olympics held in Tokyo. She remained in the medal race for a long time by finishing second and third, but in the last round she was out of the race and finished fourth.
