A controversy has come to the fore in the Paris Olympics which has shaken sports lovers all over the world. In the Paris Olympics, it has been alleged that a female boxer was pitted against a male boxer. Yes, don't be shocked, the matter is of the women's welterweight category in whose pre-quarterfinals there was a clash between Italian boxer Angela Carini and Algerian boxer Iman Khelife. But this fight ended in just 46 seconds. In fact, after a few punches, the Italian boxer left the match and Algerian boxer Iman Khelife was declared the winner. You will be surprised to know that Khelife was disqualified for failing the gender test before the final of the World Championship in 2023.

Iman Khalifa is accused of being a man

Iman Khelif's participation in the Paris Olympics is quite controversial. The main reason for this controversy is the test conducted by the International Boxing Association last year. When Iman Khelif was tested, it was found that her testosterone was very high and along with this, her DNA test showed XY chromosomes. XY chromosomes mean a boy. A girl's chromosomes are XX. The International Boxing Association banned Khelif for this reason. After this, the Algerian boxer appealed against this decision but later she withdrew it. Overall, the DNA test proved that Iman Khelif is not a girl at all.

How did you get a chance to play in Paris Olympics?

Now the question is how did Iman Khelif get a chance to play in Paris Olympics despite such a big allegation? Actually, IBA is not organizing boxing matches in the Olympic Games. The entire responsibility of these matches is in the hands of the International Olympic Committee which had stopped all tests in the year 1999. To play in the Olympics, women boxers now only have to submit a certificate of their being women.

What did the losing boxer say?

After the match, Italian boxer Angela Carini raised questions on the match through gestures. After the match, the Italian boxer kept crying for a long time. She said, 'I have never felt such a strong punch in my life. Now the IOC has to take a decision on this.'
