Team India: A 3 match ODI series is to be played between Sri Lanka and India (SL vs IND) from 2 August. The 15-member Indian team has been announced for the 3 ODIs to be played against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma has been made the captain of Team India for the ODI series.

While the vice-captaincy of the team has been handed over to Shubman Gill. All the three ODI matches against Sri Lanka are to be played at the Colombo ground. At the same time, as soon as the T20 series ended and just 1 day before the ODI series, the team has suffered a major setback. Because, 2 fast bowlers of the team have been injured.

While Mathisha Pathirana and Dilshan Madushanka are out of the ODI series. Mathisha Pathirana suffered a right shoulder injury in the third match. While Dilshan Madushanka has a left hamstring injury. Due to which both these players are out of the ODI series.

Let us tell you that, in place of Mathisha Pathirana and Dilshan Madushanka who were out of the ODI series, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has given a chance to 2 young bowlers in the squad. Mohammad Shiraz and Ishan Malinga have got a place in the Sri Lankan team in place of Mathisha Pathirana and Dilshan Madushanka.

Let us tell you that Mohammad Shiraz and Ishan Malinga have not yet made their debut in international cricket. But now both these players may get a chance to debut in the ODI series against India.
