This year has not been good for the young wicketkeeper-batsman of the Indian cricket team, Ishan Kishan. His decision to take leave from Team India and then not agreeing to the words of BCCI officials has not proved good for him. Due to this, he has been out of Team India for the last 7 months and has been a victim of the strict decisions of the board. The chances of returning to Team India are becoming increasingly difficult and in such a situation, now Ishan Kishan is finally going to do the work for which he was being repeatedly asked. Ishan will play for the Jharkhand team in the domestic season starting next month. He will not only play, but he can also captain the team.
Cricbuzz's report claims that the 26-year-old cricketer had recently contacted the Jharkhand State Cricket Association and made himself available for selection for the upcoming domestic season. Now there has been progress in this matter and the Jharkhand Association has also included Ishan in the pre-season camp.
It has been told in the report that 25 players have been selected for the camp to prepare for the season and Ishaan is also included in it. The special thing is that Ishaan Kishan will not only be seen playing for the Jharkhand team, but the selectors of the association are also considering making him the captain. Ishaan Kishan has captained the Indian team in Under-19 cricket.
Remember that earlier this year when Ishan had asked for a break from Team India, the then coach Rahul Dravid had said that Ishan Kishan would have to play some kind of cricket to make a comeback. Ranji Trophy season was going on in the month of January. However, Ishan Kishan was not ready to play then. Even BCCI secretary Jay Shah had warned that players will have to play domestic cricket but even after this Ishan was not ready to play Ranji Trophy for his Jharkhand team.
Instead, he was training with Hardik Pandya at Kiran More's cricket academy in Baroda. Due to not obeying the coach and BCCI, the board had removed him from the central contract. Earlier, he was in C grade and used to get Rs 1 crore per year.
The report states that Ishan Kishan was not only explained by his well-wishers, but some members of the senior selection committee also talked to him about this. Being only 26 years old, he has little chance of returning to international cricket and a long career, so he should once again return to domestic cricket so that he can stake a claim for a comeback in Team India. Ishan withdrew his name just before the Test series on the South Africa tour in December last year and returned to the country. He has been out of the team since then.
