BCCI: With the victory in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the tenure of Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid also ended. After him, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Gautam Gambhir as the new head of India.
Gambhir has now become the new head coach of Team India and he is adding people to the team's assistant coaching staff as per his wish. In this sequence, Gambhir has appointed his colleagues Abhishek Nair and Ryan Ten Doeschate as assistant coaches of the Indian team.
Let us tell you that for some time now, such reports have come out in the media, in which it was being said that former legendary Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan could become the bowling coach of Team India, but now this has not happened and he will not be able to become the bowling coach.
Gujarat Titans coach and former star pacer Ashish Nehra's name also came up for this role. However, he too will not be able to become Team India's bowling coach and in place of these two, Gambhir has preferred a foreign player. Not only this, BCCI has also given its green signal.

Actually, Team India's assistant coach Abhishek Nair and Ten Doeschate have joined the Indian team but the bowling coach who will be India has not joined the team yet.
It is almost certain that former South African fast bowler Morne Morkel will become the bowling coach of Team India and if media reports are to be believed, he will join Team India from the next tour. If sources are to be believed, it was Gambhir who had appealed to BCCI to appoint Morkel as the bowling coach.
After Gambhir became the head coach, the BCCI gave him a free hand to choose his support staff and Gautam included his close ones in the coaching staff. In fact, Nair and Doschett were associated with Kolkata when Gambhir was the mentor of this team in IPL 2024.
In such a situation, now he has also included Morkel in it. Actually, when Gambhir was the mentor of Lucknow, at that time Morne Morkel used to be the bowling coach of Lucknow. However, after this he was also the bowling coach of Pakistan in the World Cup 2023 but due to poor performance, he was removed from this post.
