Team India: The 3 match ODI series being played between Sri Lanka and India (SL vs IND) is to end on 7th August. After this, Team India will not play any series for about 45 days. But after this, the team has to play many series continuously. Which also includes a 4 match T20 series with South Africa. This series will be played under the hosting of South Africa.
However, in the year 2025, India can host South Africa at home and a series of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches can be played between the two teams. While today we will talk about what could be the squad of Team India in the 3-match ODI series to be played with South Africa.

South Africa may come on tour in the month of November-December next year. Young batsman Shubman Gill may get the captaincy of the Indian team in the 3 ODI series. Because, it is believed that Shubman Gill may be given the captaincy of the team after Rohit Sharma.
Due to which Shubman Gill can be made the captain of the team instead of Rohit against Africa. Shubman Gill has been chosen as the vice-captain of the team for the tour of Sri Lanka. Due to which it is being speculated that he can be made the captain of the team very soon.
While wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant can be made the vice-captain of Team India in the 3 ODI series against South Africa. Because, Pant is now an experienced player of Team India and he can get the vice-captaincy of Team India after the Champions Trophy 2025.
Wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul may be dropped from the team after the Champions Trophy. Due to which Pant can now play as a regular wicketkeeper batsman in the ODI team and he can also be made the vice-captain of the team.
Many young players can get a chance in the Team India squad in the 3 ODI series against South Africa. Which includes the names of Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Harshit Rana and Rituraj Gaikwad. Because, senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja can be given rest in this series.
