Team India: A 3-match ODI series is being played between Team India and Sri Lanka (IND VS SL). Team India has faced defeat in the first two matches played in the 3-match ODI series. Due to which, a star player included in the playing 11 of Team India has been shown the way out before the start of the third ODI match.

KL Rahul ruled out of ODI match

Team India's star wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul's performance was quite average in the first two matches of the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka. Due to which Team India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir have dropped KL Rahul from the playing 11 of the third ODI match of the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Rishabh Pant has got a place in Team India

By excluding KL Rahul, the management of Team India has given Rishabh Pant a chance in the team in his place. Rishabh Pant did not get a chance in the first two matches of the ODI series. At the same time, in the third ODI, Rishabh Pant did not get a chance to play for Team India after a long time. Rishabh Pant had earlier played his last ODI match for Team India against New Zealand in the year 2022.

Riyan Parag got a chance to debut

In the third match of the ongoing ODI series between Team India and Sri Lanka (IND VS SL), Team India captain Rohit Sharma has given 22-year-old star all-rounder Riyan Parag a chance to make his ODI debut for the team. Riyan Parag had earlier got a chance to play in the T20 format for Team India on the Zimbabwe tour.
