Team India has to play a 3-match ODI series against England in its home ground from 6 February 2023. This ODI series is very important for Team India, because right after this series, Team India has to participate in the Champions Trophy 2025. If media reports are to be believed, then only those players will be given a chance in Team India in this series against England by the BCCI management, whose performance is better in the matches played earlier.
Along with this, news is also coming that for this series, 3 such players will also be included by the management. If those players do not perform well in this series, they can be shown the way out and after this these players will not be seen playing for the Indian team again.

The captaincy of the team that will be announced by the BCCI management for the 5-match series against England can be handed over to a young player. If media reports are to be believed, the management can hand over the captaincy of Team India to Shubman Gill in this series. Shubman Gill has recently been appointed as the vice-captain of Team India by the BCCI management and this makes it clear that he can be given the responsibility of leading the Indian team in the future.
The team that will be announced by the management for the 3-match ODI series against England will include many such players for whom this series could prove to be the last series of their career. If media reports are to be believed, Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will be dropped from Team India after their poor performance in this series. The management will consider giving other players a chance in their place.
Shubman Gill (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Riyan Parag, Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh.
