Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat may not have won a medal in the Paris Olympics, but after returning to the country, the countrymen have showered a lot of love on her. Phogat was given a grand welcome in the village and she was even awarded a gold medal. Now Vinesh has posted a video on the occasion of Rakshabandhan which has gone viral. Vinesh Phogat celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan with her brother in the village Balali. After tying a rakhi to this boxer, the brother gave her a bundle of 500-500 rupee notes.

Vinesh told an interesting thing

When Vinesh Phogat got a bundle of 500 rupee notes from her brother, she made an interesting revelation. Vinesh told that for many years her brother used to give her only 10 rupees each. Last year he gave her a 500 rupee note. But this time her brother gave Vinesh a bundle of 500 rupee notes. Vinesh then said that her brother has earned only this much in his entire life which has come to his share.

Brother gave a warm welcome

When Vinesh reached India, her brother gave her a grand welcome. Vinesh's plane landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and she was given a grand welcome there. After this, her brother took this player to her native village Balali where she was honored. A special gold medal was prepared for Vinesh, apart from this, she was also honored by the Khap Panchayat.

Vinesh could not win the Olympic medal without losing a single match

Vinesh Phogat did not lose a single match in the Paris Olympics, she reached the final but was disqualified due to 100 grams more weight. Vinesh had appealed against this decision in the Sports Arbitration but her plea was rejected. Vinesh Phogat had announced her retirement even before this decision came. Vinesh said that missing out on an Olympic medal is the biggest setback of her life. Vinesh said that she does not know when she will recover from this shock but the love of the public gave her courage.
