The first semi-final match of the tournament was played between Afghanistan and South Africa in Trinidad. The ICC has also described the pitch used for this match as bad.

ICC released ratings of 6 pitches

The pitch of Nassau County Stadium in New York has received the worst rating, where 8 matches of the group stage were held. The ICC has described the pitches used for Sri Lanka vs South Africa and India vs Ireland matches as 'unsatisfactory'. This pitch was prepared just a few days before the start of the tournament, due to which the teams had to face difficult challenges.

Sri Lanka was all out for 77 runs against South Africa, while Ireland was all out for 96 runs against India. The highest score made on this pitch in the tournament was 137 runs, which was made by the Canadian team.

However, after the first two matches, a decision was taken to get the pitch repaired. The India vs Pakistan match was also played on the same pitch and the pitch of that match has been declared fit by the ICC.

ICC declared the pitch of the first semi-final match as the worst

The pitch of the first semi-final match played between Afghanistan and South Africa in Trinidad has been given the worst rating by the ICC. In that match, the Afghan team was all out for just 56 runs and the Proteas easily won the match and entered the final. After the match, Afghanistan's coach Jonathan Trott also expressed his anger over the pitch.

The pitch of the second semi-final between India and England in Guyana was declared fine by the ICC. At the same time, the ICC was happy with the pitch of the final match between South Africa and India in Barbados and it declared it good.
