On the evening of 21st August, there was a match between Mysore Warriors and Hubli Tigers in Maharaja T20 Trophy. In this match, Samit Dravid was a part of Mysore Warriors while KC Cariappa was playing for Hubli Tigers. Batting first, Mysore Warriors were all out after scoring 165 runs in 19.3 overs, in which Samit Dravid's innings could not go beyond 2 runs in 5 balls because KC Cariappa made him his victim.

KC Cariappa took the wicket of Samit Dravid by clean bowling him. This was Cariappa's first wicket in the match. After this, Cariappa took another wicket of Sumit Kumar. In this way, Cariappa took 2 wickets in the match by giving 26 runs in 4 overs. With the 2 wickets taken in this match, his total number of wickets after 5 matches in Maharaja T20 Trophy has become 4. Cariappa did not take a single wicket in the first 3 matches of the tournament.
