After playing the T20 series against South Africa this year, a series of 2 Test matches will be played between Team India and South Africa (IND VS SA) at the end of the year 2025.

For the Test series against South Africa, the selection committee may not give place to Rohit and Virat in the team and instead give Ishan Kishan and Cheteshwar Pujara a chance to make a comeback.

The South African team will tour India in the month of November-December 2025. On the tour of India, the South African team will play a series of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches. In this series against South Africa, the selection committee may go through the transition phase in Test cricket. Ishan- Pujara may get a chance to make a comeback

Cheteshwar Pujara, who has played more than 100 Test matches for Team India, can be given a chance by the selection committee to play as a veteran player in Test cricket till the World Cup 2027.
