In the Rawalpindi Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the batsmen have dominated. After the excellent spell of Bangladesh's fast bowlers in the first session of the match, only the batsmen have dominated for 3 consecutive days. This performance was expected from the Pakistani batsmen because they are playing on their home ground, but Pakistan did not think that the Bangladesh batsmen would be even more effective than them. Especially when the team had decided to choose four fast bowlers instead of a main spinner. Bangladesh's experienced batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored a brilliant century and also made a record, destroying all the power of this pace battery of Pakistan.
On the third day of the Test match at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim faced the Pakistani bowlers bravely and kept the team in the match. Pakistan got success on the third day and lost 5 wickets for 218 runs, after which Litton scored a half-century while counter-attacking. On the fourth day, Litton got out early but after this the pace battery of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali started to fizzle out.
On the fourth day of the match, former captain and veteran batsman Mushfiqur extended his half-century innings and along with Mehdi Hasan Miraz, took the team close to 400 runs. Meanwhile, Mushfiqur completed a brilliant century by taking a run off spinner Agha Salman's ball. This is the 11th century of this batsman, who is playing his 89th Test match. Also, this is Mushfiqur's first century against Pakistan. Pakistan's pacers failed to trouble Mushfiqur in any way. On the basis of his century, Bangladesh took the lead by surpassing Pakistan's score of 448 runs in the first innings.
Mushfiqur has now come second in terms of scoring most Test centuries for Bangladesh. He left behind Tamim Iqbal (10). Not only this, Mushfiqur now holds the record of scoring most centuries for Bangladesh on foreign soil. This is the 5th such century of this 37-year-old batsman and he beat Tamim here as well. The special thing is that he did something that great Indian batsmen like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have not got a chance to do till date. This is Mushfiqur's first Test match in Pakistan and he has scored this century in its first innings itself, whereas the current Indian batsmen including Virat and Rohit have not even got a chance to play a Test match against Pakistan.
