Pakistan has been saved from a big problem in the Rawalpindi Test. If this had not happened, Pakistan might have been nowhere. The problem looming over its head could have taken a more serious form. But, this did not happen because Babar Azam narrowly escaped. Babar Azam is a big batsman of Pakistan. In such a situation, when the team needs him the most, if something untoward happens to him at that time, then it cannot be good news for Pakistan. Something similar almost happened to Babar Azam in the second innings of the Rawalpindi Test.
Babar Azam faced 2 balls in the first innings against Bangladesh, but he could not score any runs. Babar returned to the dugout without opening his account. Something similar was going to happen with him in the second innings as well. This time he was in danger of getting out on zero on the very first ball of his innings, which was averted due to the mistake of the Bangladeshi wicketkeeper.
As soon as Babar Azam came on the wicket in the second innings of the Rawalpindi Test, he played the first ball of Shoriful Islam. This second ball of the 13th over of Pakistan's second innings took the edge of Babar's bat and went towards the gloves of Liton Das standing behind the wicket. But, Liton missed this easy catch coming towards him, the disappointment of which was clearly visible not only on his face but also on the faces of his fellow players.

When the Bangladesh wicketkeeper dropped Babar Azam's catch, he himself was playing on zero. Pakistan was also 88 runs away from the lead made by Bangladesh in the first innings. That is, if that catch was not dropped at that time and Babar Azam got out without opening his account, then there would have been extra pressure on Pakistan, which Bangladesh could have fully benefited from. But, this did not happen. The result was that Babar Azam added 22 runs to his team's score board. He scored 22 runs by facing 50 balls in the second innings.
In the first test being played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan declared its first innings at 448 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, Bangladesh scored 565 runs and took a lead of 117 runs in the first innings.
