Team India has been announced for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The 15-member team is led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Apart from Harmanpreet, Smriti Mandhana is the other experienced player in the team. Shreyanka Patil and wicketkeeper-batsman Yastika Bhatia have also got a place in the team, who are yet to recover from their injuries. If these two players become fit by the time the tournament starts, they will remain in the team, otherwise they can be replaced. The selection committee has kept 3 players as reserve.

The Women's T20 World Cup 2024 is to be held in the UAE on October 3, in which the Indian team will start its campaign against New Zealand on October 4. On October 6, it will face Pakistan in a high-voltage match, which will be its second match in the tournament. The Indian team will face Sri Lanka on October 9 and Australia on October 13. The semi-finals of the Women's T20 World Cup will be played on October 17 and 18. While, the final will be on October 20.
