Team India: The selection committee has so far announced the 16-member Team India squad only for the first Test match against Bangladesh. According to media reports, the selection committee may decide to exclude Jasprit Bumrah and Shubman Gill from the team squad before the second Test match to be held at Kanpur ground.

Shubman Gill will be dropped from Kanpur Test

Ever since the selection committee has given Shubman Gill the responsibility of vice-captaincy of the team in the white ball format, Shubman Gill has not performed in any match played for Team India. In the ongoing test match on the Chennai ground, Shubman Gill also returned to the pavilion on a score of 0. After the continuous poor performance by Shubman Gill, the selection committee can provide rest to Shubman Gill under work load management before the Kanpur Test match.

Jasprit Bumrah may be given rest from the second test

Jasprit Bumrah is the biggest match winner of Team India in Test cricket. In such a situation, the selection committee can decide to give rest to Jasprit Bumrah in the team squad to be selected for the second Test match against Bangladesh. Due to which Jasprit Bumrah's name will not be included in the team squad to be selected for the Kanpur Test match.

Rituraj and Arshdeep Singh may get a chance in the team squad

The selection committee may give Ruturaj Gaikwad and Arshdeep Singh, who performed brilliantly in the Duleep Trophy, a chance in the 16-member team squad selected for the Kanpur Test match in place of Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah.
