WPL Final 2025 What is Reserve Day Rule in Womens Premier League: The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 final match will be played on 15 March at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. In this high-voltage final, Delhi Capitals, captained by Meg Lanning, will face Harmanpreet Kaur of Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai Indians.
Delhi Capitals have reached the finals for the third consecutive time and will land with the intention of winning their first trophy. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have been the last year's champion and is fully prepared to protect its title. But what will happen if the weather disrupted this Mahamukabale and the match could not be completed due to rain?
Let me tell you that for the WPL Final 2025 of WPL 2025, the organizers have made several rules keeping in mind the possibilities like rain, ensuring that the winner is decided in any case.
If the final match is not completed due to rain and the match of 5 overs per innings is also not possible, the organizers will try to get super over as the final option. It can be started by 1:20 AM in the event of ground and pitch being prepared for the super over. Whoever scored more runs in the super over, will be declared the winner of WPL 2025.
If the rain is so high that neither 5 overs per team can be faced nor the super over can be played, then according to the WPL rules, the team living on the league stage will be declared the winner.
This season, Delhi Capitals topped the points table, so if the match is completely canceled, they will be declared the winner. Mumbai Indians had to win by 47 runs against Gujarat Giants to make it to the finals, while Delhi Capitals qualified for the finals directly.
Now the question is whether the rain will add to this exciting match? If the match is done according to the time, then we will see two best teams on the field for the trophy. But if the rain ruined the finals, Delhi Capitals will get a chance to name the trophy.
