Royal Challengers Bengaluru moved to the top of the IPL 2025 Points Table after the match against Kolkata Knight Riders was washed out due to rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Despite RCB’s jump to the top slot, with 17 points in 12 games in pocket, the side it yet to confirm its qualification for the Playoffs.
Bengaluru will need to win at least of its two remaining games to confirm its entry into the top four. However, if one of Punjab Kings or Delhi Capitals loses on Sunday, RCB will qualify.
Only way the Royal Challengers’ struggle to make into the Playoffs is if it manages to find itself in a three-way tie at 17 points with Delhi and Punjab. In this scenario, Net Run Rate will come into play.
RCB next plays Sunrisers Hyderabad in Bengaluru on May 23.
