It is not right to judge someone on the performance of one match. Especially when a player is like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has left a mark of his talent all over the world in just a few months, that too at the young age of 14. Vaibhav Suryavanshi answered the questions arising after failing in the first match of Under-19 World Cup 2026 in a explosive manner. In Team India's second match of the tournament, Vaibhav made a world record by scoring a stormy half-century. Vaibhav not only scored the fastest half-century of this tournament, but also became the youngest batsman to touch the 50-run mark in World Cup history.

In the match against Bangladesh in Bulawayo on Saturday 17 January, Team India came to bat first and lost 2 wickets in the third over itself. But Vaibhav Suryavanshi was holding the lead from the other side and stormy batting was being done. However, the third wicket also fell in front of his eyes but still Vaibhav's attack continued. Then came the moment in the 13th over when Vaibhav created history.

Vaibhav completed his half-century by taking one run on the last ball of the 13th over. In this way he completed his first half-century in the Under-19 World Cup and also made a record. He completed this fifty in just 30 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes, which is the fastest half-century in this World Cup. But not only this, he became the youngest batsman to score a half-century in the Under-19 World Cup history. He made this record at the young age of just 14 years and 296 days and broke the record of Shahidullah Kamal of Afghanistan (15 years, 19 days).
