Punjab Kings started their journey in IPL 2026 riding on the victory chariot. As long as he was winning, everything was fine. But, as soon as the team came on the track of defeat, some such news related to it came out, on which now Punjab Kings Management and Preity Zinta seem to be angry. Preity Zinta and Punjab Kings management have completely denied the news of opener Prabhsimran Singh's weight gain of 10 kg which came to light after 4 consecutive defeats. He has called it a lie spread only with the aim of damaging the branding of the team.
After 4 consecutive defeats of Punjab Kings, a report came out in which it was said about the tremendous indiscipline prevalent in the team. It was said in it that Prabhsimran Singh's weight has increased by 10 kg in the last weeks. The players' bodies have become loose. They play games till morning and then do not even go to the practice session. Players are missing flights and losing matches. It is not surprising that he is going through bad form.
Preity Zinta and Punjab Kings Management have now issued a comment on such news. In his statement, he has termed such news as pure nonsense and lies. Preity Zinta said that there is a difference between criticism and deliberate misinformation. Healthy debate around the game is welcome, but deliberate spreading of falsehoods aimed at damaging a team or brand cannot and will not be tolerated. She said that she urges everyone, including reliable sources and media professionals, to take responsibility before spreading such misinformation.
There's a difference between criticism & calculated misinformation. Healthy debate around the game is welcome, but the deliberate spread of fake narratives to damage individuals, the team, or the brand should not & will not be taken lightly.
