Punjab Kings (PBKS) have been feeling the heat after suffering four successive losses in the league. If there are troubles on the field, it isn’t enough that the team has been facing lots of scrutiny for a few off-the-field issues, too. This has left co-owner Preity Zinta upset, who later took to her social media handle and issued a stern warning.

The veteran Bollywood actress wrote, “There’s a difference between criticism & calculated misinformation. Healthy debate around the game is welcome, but the deliberate spread of fake narratives to damage individuals, the team, or the brand should not & will not be taken lightly. I urge everyone, including verified voices & media professionals, to exercise responsibility before amplifying unverified information. Thank you.”

Spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal found himself in the eye of the storm after a recent video online on social media. The 36-year-old was alleged to be vaping on a flight, but these claims went unverified. IPL has already seen Riyan Parag vaping inside the dressing room earlier this season in the PBKS vs RR game. BCCI eventually handed the youngster a massive fine.

Weary Punjab look for revival against Mumbai

With just three games left, the Kings need to win each of those games to stay in contention for a place in the playoffs. Shreyas Iyer wasn’t a happy skipper after his team failed to defend the 211-run score against the Delhi Capitals.

The Mumbai Indians are set to visit Dharamsala, and this is a great chance for the home side to reverse their run of losses. Punjab have beaten Mumbai in each of their last two games and have dominated the side. Considering the former IPL winners aren’t in the best of form, Iyer will be hoping that his team can come out on top in the contest.

Priyansh Arya earns praise from former India batter

Young opener Priyansh Arya scored a quickfire fifty in the last game against Delhi. The left-handed batter scored 56 runs, which came off a mere 33 balls. Aakash Chopra, the former India batter, praised the southpaw for his knock on his YouTube Channel.

The 48-year-old said, “He (Arya) looked very impressive. He bats with method, and there is a rhythm. He also has a good clarity about which deliveries to put away and which ones to let go.”
