Delhi:Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowler Ramakrishna Ghosh has been ruled out of IPL 2026 due to a right leg injury. In his place, CSK has included Karnataka’s strong all-rounder McNeil Hadley Noronha in the team. Noronha has joined the team at a salary of Rs 30 lakh.
24 year old Noronha is an excellent all-rounder from Karnataka. Noronha was a part of the Karnataka team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the year 2025. He is a right-handed batsman and bowls off-spin. Noronha has impressed everyone in her short career.
Noronha was the highest run-scorer in the Under-23 Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy held in the year 2024-25. Noronha had scored 1037 runs in the tournament at an average of around 80. He had scored three centuries. Which also included a triple century.
Noronha was part of the Mangaluru Dragons team in the 2025 Maharaja Trophy. He played an important role in the team winning the title. Noronha scored 253 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 148.82 and also took 10 wickets in bowling. Noronha took two wickets in the final against Hubli Tigers. Due to these brilliant performances, he got a place in the Karnataka team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Ghosh got a chance to debut in IPL on 3 May against Mumbai Indians. Ghosh bowled brilliantly against Mumbai. He took one wicket for 24 runs in three overs. He took the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav. Who was batting very dangerously that day. During this match, Ghosh suffered an injury in his right leg, due to which he had to be out of the entire season.
