Shilpa Shinde, a famous TV actress and who played the role of Angoori Bhabhi in 'Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain', is once again at the center of a big controversy. His statement given in the podcast of comedians Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa has created a stir in the industry. Shilpa has made a big revelation on an almost decade old case, in which she has now termed the allegations of sexual harassment leveled against 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' producer Sanjay Kohli as false. After this statement, there have been sharp reactions from social media to TV industry. Many celebs including Hina Khan have expressed strong displeasure over this issue and the matter has once again turned into a legal and moral debate.
What is the matter of 'Angoori Bhabhi' i.e. Shilpa Shinde?
In 2016, while leaving the popular show 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain', Shilpa Shinde had accused the producers of sexual harassment and not paying the dues. The case later ended in settlement. But now in 2026, he admitted that the allegations of sexual harassment made at that time were not true. Shilpa said in the podcast,
I was in a very difficult situation at that time and I had no other option, so I filed that case. Today I am admitting for the first time that those allegations were false. Later settlement took place and my outstanding payment was received.
Hina Khan's anger on Shilpa Shinde
Expressing displeasure and giving a strong reaction on Shilpa Shinde's revelations, Hina Khan wrote on social media,
I am surprised that such allegations were made to tarnish someone's image to win a dispute. this is so embarrassing. The real victim is the person whose image was tarnished, while later the same show was again given to the same person who had made the allegations.

Demand for FIR against Shilpa Shinde
Delhi based men's rights organization NCMIndia Council for Men Affairs has demanded action against Shilpa Shinde from Mumbai Police. Many users on social media also expressed their displeasure and said that legal action should be taken against making false allegations. Some people called it a defamation case.
