West Indies won the T20 series by defeating Sri Lanka by five wickets.

West Indies’ Shamar Joseph named best player of the series

Kingston. Sherfane Rutherford completed his half-century in the last over as West Indies won the series against Sri Lanka by five wickets with two balls to spare in the third and final T20 International.

Sri Lanka scored 169 runs in 20 overs after losing all the wickets after being invited to bat first. From his side, Dunith Velalge scored the maximum 43 runs. West Indies won by scoring 170 runs for five wickets in 19.4 overs.

West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph took five wickets for 33 runs and was named player of the match and series. Rutherford remained unbeaten after scoring 54 runs on 40 balls. Jason Holder hit three sixes before the final over. He remained unbeaten after scoring 21 runs on five balls. Rovman Powell contributed 33 runs and Shimron Hetmyer contributed 32 runs.
