Bangladesh Scores 54/2 in Powerplay against Netherlands at Kingstown

Despite losing two wickets, Bangladesh scored 54 runs in the powerplay during the match against the Netherlands at Kingstown.

Bangladesh and Netherlands are scheduled to play in the 27th T20 World Cup 2024 match on June 13 at Arnos Vale Ground, St Vincent.

Aryan Dutt picked two wickets in the powerplay, but Tanzid Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan joined hands to cross the 50+ run mark.

Coming to the toss, Netherlands won the toss and opted to bowl where Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto opened the innings for Bangladesh while Vivian Kingma opened the bowling attack. In the second over, Aryan Dutt picked the wicket of Najmul Shanto for 1 run.

Shanto plays the premeditated reverse sweep hits him high on the bat and goes straight to first slip where Vikramjit catches the ball with ease.

Litton Das came to bat but was sent back to the dugout for one run. Shakib Al Hasan joined hands with Tanzid Hasan to score a 48-run partnership. In the 9th over, van Meekeren dismissed Tanzid Hassan for 35 runs. With his dismissal, Bangladesh scored 71 runs losing three wickets. By the end of the 10th over, Bangladesh scored 76 runs.
