Team India: So far 29 matches have been played in the T20 World Cup 2024 being hosted by West Indies and America. Let us tell you that after 29 matches, 5 teams have made it to the Super 8. In which the name of the Indian team is also included. Team India made it to the Super 8 by defeating America.
But now Team India has to play the last group match with Canada. Which is to be played on 15th June at the ground of Florida. But meanwhile, big news is coming from Team India's camp that 2 players from the Indian team's squad are being sent back to India. Due to which changes can be seen in Team India's squad.
Let us tell you that 15 players have been given a chance in the squad of Team India. While 4 players have been kept in reserve. The Indian team has to play all the group matches on the ground of America. But Team India will leave for West Indies after June 15. Due to which BCCI has now taken a big decision and opener batsman Shubman Gill and fast bowler Avesh Khan have been released from the team.
Due to which both these players will have to return to India after June 15. Because, both these players were kept in Team India's squad only till the group matches. However, right now these reports have come from the media and BCCI has not given any information about this.
Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan were kept in the team as reserve players for the T20 World Cup. Due to which both these players have now been released from the team after the group stage match. Due to their excellent performance in the IPL, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan got a chance in the team and have gone to America with the team.
But now Team India has to play all its matches in West Indies. Due to which Gill and Avesh Khan have been called back to India. However, there is no change in the 15-member team of Team India. But now only 2 players are left in the reserve player.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma (captain), Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
