After facing multiple hurdles, England qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 stage after the Australia vs Scotland match resulted in the favour of the “Three Lions”.

After their first match against Scotland was abandoned due to rain, England faced a tragic defeat against Australia in their second game. Following a dreadful start, England bounced back and won their remaining two group matches played against Oman and Namibia.

In a do-or-die match against Namibia, England pulled 41 runs victory by the DLS method after rain intervened in the crucial game.

Though England won their last two matches and sustained a safe spot in the Super 8 race, they were forced to depend on the match result of the Australia vs Scotland clash.

As per the rules, England will qualify for the Super 8 if Australia emerges as the winner.
