Haris Rauf and his family were abused by one of the fans in the United States of America. The pacer lost his cool and almost hit him. Rauf took to social media to reveal the details. He accused the person of using offensive language.
Former Pakistan players deserve the blame for spreading hate against the current cricketers after their below-par performances in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
The Men in Green lost to the USA and India and were eliminated from the tournament after playing in the group stage.
Shahid Afridi, Ahmed Shehzad, Shoaib Malik, Wasim Akram, Mohammad Hafeez, Danish Kaneria and several others have crossed the line while questioning the display of the Babar Azam-led team in the global tournament.
The hate-filled comments have turned fans against the present squad and Rauf became the first victim of the never ending targeting.
Meanwhile, Afridi who has been commenting on Pakistan’s failure, has now urged everyone to stop spreading hate.
“The Haris Rauf incident is totally unacceptable! We should never lose respect or cross the line. The ones spreading hatred should stop now,” he wrote.
Haris took 7 wickets in four matches of the World Cup.
