Iconic batter Virat Kohli had a heartwarming conversation with West Indies legend Sir Wesley Hall at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. After the Indian team’s practice session, the 35-year-old Kohli shared a warm interaction with the 86-year-old Hall. He presented Kohli with a signed copy of his autobiography, “Answering the Call – The Extraordinary Life of Sir Wesley Hall.” Kohli is currently in the Caribbean with the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The Indian team arrived in Barbados after completing the US leg of the marquee tournament. Virat Kohli, who has been India’s top run-scorer in T20 World Cups since 2014, has struggled for form in the ongoing edition so far. Despite being asked to open alongside Rohit Sharma, Kohli has managed only 5 runs in 3 matches, with scores of 1, 4, and 0 against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA.

However, certain experts have expressed confidence in Kohli, backing him to regain his touch during the West Indies leg of the tournament.

“It seems Virat Kohli was dependent on his teammates in the USA. However, he will have to improve his performance in the West Indies. The left-arm bowlers like Mitchell Starc may target Kohli with the ball that comes in. This in-swinging delivery appears to be causing Kohli some trouble, as he has been playing away from his body lately,” said Brad Hodge.

Meanwhile, standing at an imposing 6 ft 2 inches, Hall terrorized batters worldwide across his 48 Test matches, claiming 192 wickets. His fearsome presence was a sight that struck fear into opposing teams. He also amassed 170 first-class wickets in his career.
