England are gunning for a record third title. They are also the defending champions, having won in 2022. Their maiden title came in 2010. West Indies won in 2012 and 2016 and are also looking to be a record third time champion. Every match is important as two points may be the difference between qualification for the semis or a flight home.
In the other group we have India, Afghanistan, Australia and Bangladesh.
India's real test is against Australia as Bangladesh and Afghanistan are not expected to cause much trouble. Of course, nobody is underestimating anybody.

In less than a week, we shall know which teams are in the semis. By the end of the month, we will know who the champions are. The chances of a first-time champion are less as we have as many as four former champions in the final eight teams.
South Africa will fancy their chances. They have not won an ICC title since 1998, when they clinched the first-ever Champions Trophy.
England are finding their feet in the tournament after a shaky start. India will be wary because they may face off in the semis or maybe even the final. But let's not think that far ahead. Both teams need to make it into the next round first. It will most likely happen, but one can never tell as this game can always spring up an odd surprise.
